“We are very impressed with the applicant quality and the diverse nature of this class,” said Kevin Fryer, SparkLabKC managing director and Kansas City entrepreneur. “As a group, these companies have well developed products and are at the point of operationalizing their businesses.”
SparkLabKC’s program includes:
• Seed capital
• Mentorship with a pool of over 80 business leaders with deep experience across virtually every industry
• Free workspace
• Legal, accounting and financial advisory services
• A formal prototype demonstration day for potential investors
SparkLabKC’s mentors, sponsors and partners come from the public and private sectors, and provide the depth of resources, experience and knowledge needed to help startups on their path to success.
“In addition to the established pool of SparkLabKC mentors, we are especially pleased to have many members of the first two classes returning to serve as coaches for the SparkLabKC class of 2015,” noted Fryer.
The SparkLabKC 2015 class began on Jan. 12 at the SparkLabKC office, located at 127 West 10th Street, Suite 102. The class concludes on April 10 with Demo Day when each company will present its prototype product and business model to angel investors and venture capital investors.
