Cardinal Health expansion making more jobs in Moberly

MOBERLY, Mo. — Health care supplier and solutions provider Cardinal Health is expanding its operations in Moberly. The expansion will also create 50 jobs.

“Cardinal Health’s decision to expand in Moberly is a testament to the state’s manufacturing strength,” said Mike Downing, director of the Missouri Department of Economic Development. “Missouri’s central location is an inherent advantage, and our skilled workforce makes projects like this possible.”

Among the 50 new, full-time positions to be filled at the Moberly facility are maintenance technicians, machine operators and material handlers. The expansion will bring the company’s Moberly workforce to 175.

A hiring event has been scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 9, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Comfort Inn located at 1801 West Outer Road, in Moberly. During the hiring event, prospective applicants have the opportunity to learn more about the company, which is a global leader in the healthcare industry and ranked No. 26 on the Fortune 500 list. People can also interview directly for the open positions.

To assist Cardinal Health with its expansion project, the Department of Economic Development has authorized a strategic incentive package that the company can receive if it meets strict job creation and investment criteria. Key partners on the project include the Moberly Area Economic Development Corporation.
