Garmin getting a fix on Kansas City-area HQ expansion
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — GPS and wearable technology maker Garmin has been approved to build its new Kansas City-area campus expansion in Olathe, Kansas. The high-tech company is building a new manufacturing and distribution center that will allow Garmin to add 2,700 employees.
The new facility will encompass 712,842 square feet at its campus northwest of 151st Street and Ridgeview Road. The facility will take about two years to complete and company officials say it will be another two years to retrofit the firm’s current manufacturing facially into office space.
