Emerson Electric named one of the Top 100 Global Innovators
ST. LOUIS, Mo. — St. Louis-based Emerson Electric has been named among the Top 100 Global Innovators by Thomson Reuters. The company, which has won the award each year since 2012, is one of the largest power equipment manufacturers in the nation. Emerson also has a global business presence spanning 150 countries.
To be considered a Top 100 Global Innovator, a company has to have at least 100 unique patented inventions over the last five years. Thomson Reuters also considers the success of the company, its global reach, and its influence on other organizations.
As a four-time honoree, Emerson continued to show excellence in innovation even as 19 new companies debuted on this year’s top 100 list. Those companies include Amazon, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Johnson Controls.
