Cimarron Bend wind farm will power BPU, Google
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The BPU and Google will purchase electricity from a large new wind farm in Kansas, the Kansas City Business Journal reported.

The Cimarron Bend wind farm, located in Clark County, will have a capacity of 400 megawatts. The Kansas City Board of Public Utilities in Kansas City, Kan., and Google each will purchase 200-megawatt bundles of power under long-term agreements.
Enel Green Power North America, a unit of Enel S.p.A. is building the $610 million wind farm. When completed, it will be Enel’s largest wind farm in the United States. The company owns and operates four wind farms in Kansas, with a total capacity of nearly 1 gigawatt.
